An invasive species of ant spreading across Australia is causing havoc in villages in southern India.

Reality TV show contestant Christopher Jensen has walked free from court after receiving a suspended prison sentence for drug trafficking.
Jensen, 34, has had drug trafficking charges hanging over his head for almost five years – a period that included his popular 2021 Married At First Sight stint.
Justice Paul Freeburn said the charges would ordinarily result in a prison sentence but described Jensen's case as "extraordinary" in Brisbane Supreme Court on Friday.
Jensen was 29 when he was arrested in October 2017 during Queensland Police's Operation Papa Argyle that targeted drug trafficking on the Sunshine Coast.
The surge of fear over foot and mouth disease might have subsided in most of Australia, but we can't let our guard down.
That's not a message from the PM – but from his host for the day, cattleman Ryan Olive of Queensland's iconic Raglan Station, south of Rockhampton.
Olive didn't mince words when he said the fight was far from over.
"Every step we take on this is a good step, but it's never going to be the last step," he said.
"We're going to need to continue to evolve."
But while he also cited improving biosecurity measures, he said the priority should be supporting Indonesia.
"Indonesia is a very important customer of ours, and a very important trading partner," he said.
"We really need to care for them.
"We're scared of it, but they've got it.
"Their learnings there are going to help us be more prepared here."
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has again confirmed the government will oppose the early release of a Bali bombing terrorist.
Umar Patek is set to be released weeks ahead of the 20th anniversary of the 2002 attack.
"When it comes to someone who's committed such a heinous crime, a designer and maker of a bomb designed to kill people, to kill and maim, then we have a very strong view," Albanese said.
But he said Indonesia would make its own decision.
"Certainly the Australian government will be relaying diplomatically, very clearly, our view of this," he said.
