The Auburn Tigers suffered an all too familiar loss Saturday, blowing another double-digit lead against an SEC opponent. This time they took a 17-0 lead over the LSU Tigers before ultimately falling 21-17.
Auburn once again showed the weaknesses that have plagued them all season, turning the ball over in bunches, failing to score in the second half, and questionable play calling. These weaknesses are the reason that Bryan Harsin’s seat has once again grown hot and has people believing the end of his tenure is rapidly approaching.
However, Auburn made a slight rise in the USA TODAY Sports Paul Myerberg’s latest re-rank of the 131 teams in the NCAA. The Tigers moved up one spot to No. 64 in the country.
The Tigers will have a chance to make an impressive statement this Saturday when they square off with the Georgia Bulldogs, who rank No. 2 in the weekly re-rank. The game is set to start at 2:30 p.m. CT in Athens and will be on CBS.
